Legal grounds: Order no. 1.398/729/2021 of the Ministry of Health and the National House for Health Insurance

The initial sick leave can be granted for a period of maximum 4 days, if issued by the general practitioner or of maximum 15 days, if issued by the specialist.

The second sick leave (continuance of the first) can be granted only after a reevaluation of the health state, and for a period of maximum 7 days, if issued by the general practitioner or of maximum 30 days if issued by the specialist.
